The Beginning

Who doesn't love dogs? My love of dogs is the reason for this Blog.

It all began with my 1st dog. His name is Jagr and he is a 9-year-old Border Collie that I rescued from the Houston SPCA as a puppy. He is a very intelligent dog with an immense vocabulary. Jagr is the type of dog you can take anywhere. He never gets into trouble.

After we moved to a house with a backyard, it was time to find a friend for Jagr. A friend found a Siberian Husky mix female and couldn't keep her, so she ended up coming to live with us. Rooney (a.k.a. Roo Roo) came to live with us about 4 years ago.

The vet thinks that Rooney may be mixed with Collie. She is a fun-loving girl who is talkative and loves to eat treats!



After a stroll through the Houston SPCA in the Spring of 2008, I added a new addition to the family. I never thought I would enjoy a tiny dog as much as my big dogs! What a joy little Stargell is for all of us. He is a 3-year-old Chihuahua mix. Any guesses as to his possible other breeds is welcome! He is the biggest snuggler on the planet.


Now that brings us to today, the beginning of my blog, "Dogs of the World." These are the dogs in my world. Please send me photos of your dogs and I will post them up here and we can all share our love of dogs. It will be interesting to see how many different types of dogs we can get together. When you send a photo, please add the name of your dog, it's age (if known), and breed type (if known), and something unique about your dog. Dogs Rock!
